The All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, candidate for Imo State House of Assembly in Ideato North LGA of Imo State, Hon. Ugboaja Victor Chinedu, Akataobi Ideato, has urged eligible voters in the Constituency, to go to their various centers and collect their permanent Voters Cards, PVCs, as was instructed by the Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC), ahead of 2023 general elections. The election regulatory body, (INEC), over the weekend, released directives for the Collection of Permanent Voters Cards, (PVC).Hon. Ugboaja made the call during a campaign outing in the area. He reiterated the importance of all eligible voters getting their Voter’s Cards and how exercising their fundamental right to vote in the 2023 general elections would impact on the standard of living of the people of Ideato North if elected to represent them.

Akataobi, a successful business mogul and humanist of no mean repute, lamented against voters’ apathy in several parts of Ideato Nation, stating that citizens who refuse to express their right to vote are doing a disservice to the growth of Nigeria’s democracy, and would remain victims of self-slavery.”Registering with INEC, obtaining a Voter’s Card, and voting are critical civic responsibilities that ought to be treated with the patriotic vigor they deserve”, Akataobi said.”I urge everyone in positions of leadership to make it a point of duty to ensure that eligible voters who haven’t collected Voter’s Card within our circle of influence take advantage of the ongoing Voters cards collection exercise.

“I want us to emphasize that having a Voter’s Card is the beginning of the realization of our collective quest for good governance, responsible and responsive representation in legislative houses at all levels.”

“The voter’s card is the greatest tool, which the electorates can use to unseat bad leadership and translate their dreams for a better society into a reality”,
Akataobi stated.
