“Occasions like this create great opportunities for us to come out to pray and present our cases before God and go home with solutions.

“For me, I am happy that despite the troubles we’ve had in Imo State, despite the challenges of violence, kidnappings of innocent people, jailbreak and escape of criminals, God has according to todays sermon, intervened and our trials has now become our triumphs.

“So, I want to encourage you to take heart. We’ve been able to do what we’ve done despite the challenges. Now that we are having relative peace, and more peaceful operational environment, by the grace of God, we will do

“I am an ecumenist – I believe in ecumenism – I am of the Catholic faith. I’m also of the Anglican faith, because it is our heart that God looks at. It is not necessarily our church.

“My dear Bishop, the government and the church are partners because the real essence of the church is complimentary to the principle objectives of government.

“So when we see the leadership of the church organize the society to enhance law and order and bring physical discipline to bear, every responsible government must want to support the church.

“That is why my government will continue to support the church. Without the church, we cannot do much.

“Like it is sang in one of the hymms, God is responsible for every success in life. God is responsible for what we are and who we are and the only thing we need to do is to trust and obey”
