As the 2023 general election draws near, and politicians are doing thier best to woo electorate and seek blessings of elders, Imo West popularly known as Orlu Zone are not left out, the Imo West Missionary Parliamentarian-MP and incoming Senator for Imo West Senatorial District (Orlu Zone) God willing, Rt. Hon. Dr. Jones Onyereri paid a special visit to the Orlu Elders Council, an Apex Socio-cultural body in Orlu Zone that houses Distinguished Professionals and Elders of thought from Orlu Zone.
The Orlu Apex Sociocultural Organization is ably chaired by Professor Francis Dike, SAN with Professor Protus Uzoma as the Secretary and youngest amongst the Orlu Elders Council.
On arrival at the country home of the Chairman, Professor Francis Dike together with the entire leadership and members of the council accorded the delegation of Imo West Senatorial Central Strategic Planing and Implementation Committee of Rt. Hon. Jones Onyereri Campaign Organization ably led by Chief Eze Duruiheoma, SAN, alongside and the Deputy Chairman of the committee, Rt. Hon. Chuma Nnaji, a resounding welcome.
Speaking during the visit Rt. Hon. Dr. Jones Onyereri, presented to the elders with facts and figures that are very much verifiable on the state of Orlu Zone (Imo West) and navigated them through the paths of what the good people of Orlu Zone stand to benefit when elected.
Olile Anya Ndi Orlu Zone went further to elucidate on the geographical location of Orlu Zone, it’s landmarks and population index with an average GDP of Orlu Zone as an oil and gas Zone.
Furthermore, Dr. Jones went on to give account of his stewardship during his days at the Green Chamber and his impact in the finance sector of the Nigerian economy as a former Chairman, “Committee on banking and currency” and he was humbled as virtually all the Elders present, especially those of NINN extraction made open confessions of his unmatchable track records in the Federal Constituency.
The Elders confessed before every one present with unquantifiable Admiration, Cheerfulness and Encomiums as they eulogized the character and person of Rt. Hon. Dr. Jones Onyereri to high heavens, describing him as their own son in whom they are well pleased as the professed on the volume his antecedents speak and their blessings were released upon him.
Appreciating the Orlu Elders Council, the Chairman of the Committee, Chief Eze Duruiheoma, SAN, thanked the Council on behalf the committee. He thanked them for believing in the Olile Anya Ndi Orlu Zone’s project of Dr. Jones Onyereri and prayed to God Almighty to keep them alive to be partakers of the good representation, Dr. Jones is set to bring to Ndi orlu Zone.
