Imo PDP Deputy Guber Candidate Jones Onyereri Sues For Peace Among Party Faithfuls In Ideato South

The 2023 Imo PDP Deputy Governorship Candidate for November 11th Imo Gubernatorial election, Rt. Hon. Jones Onyereri, PhD, has called on the leadership of Ideato South People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to sheath their sword and see each other as brothers and sisters from the same womb.

Speaking during reconciliation and interactive meeting held today, 24th May, 2023 at the Owerri Residence of Dr. Jones, a man of Peace, a Preacher of Love, Oneness, Togetherness, Unity and a man of Pedigree and Integrity, as usual, watered the agrieved heart of some party leaders of Ideato South present which had in attendance, the LGA Party Chairman, Hon. Sylvester Duruokwuaku, the Imo PDP reconciliation Committee Chairman and leader in Ideato South, High Chief Hon. Bonny Ebili, LGA officials, ward Chairmen, leaders amongst others.

In Romans 5:10-11, the bible says;
For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. More than that, we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.

In today’s fractured climate, reconciliation is more important than ever. The need for understanding, forgiveness and healing between individuals and groups. It’s a moral responsibility for us to forgive each person who has wronged us in one way or another.

Dr. Jones Onyereri

Joseph forgave his brothers for selling him into slavery (Genesis 45:15). Jesus reconciled with Peter, after Peter denied knowing Him three times (John 21:15-17).

Ideato South is a special LGA for our great party, the PDP and it is our desire that peace and unity returns as the 2023 March elections have come and gone. We must heal each other’s injury for the sake of the bigger picture ahead of us.

Imo is in an unexplainable state and as a people we must come together to make Imo a better place for us and our Children and children’s children, he opined.

Hon. Bonny Ebili, Hon. Sylvester Duruokwuaku, Barr Mrs Nnenna Aladum, amongst others, in their different contributions bared their heart where and how they were wronged but because of the supremacy of the Party, they all agreed to go home and genuinely talk to themselves, in sincerity of purpose and stand firmly with the Make Imo Safe PDP project and assured Dr Jones Onyereri and Sen Samuel Nnaemeka Anyanwu of favourable and victorious outing come 11th November, 2023.
