Speaking on the Topic: Scriptural Impetus for Divine Encounters.
Text: Job. 42:1-6, 12-7, Luke 5:1-8
Impetus – something that makes a process or activity happen or happen more quickly.
The place of the scripture is meeting with God.
An Encounter is to come in contact with someone, the divinity, face to face
No one Encounters God and remains the same.
I Samuel 2:12
Not everyone who is in Church has known God or encountered Him.
I Samuel 3:7-8
Samuel heard the voice of God and experienced an Encounter
The content of the burning bush was the beginning of an Encounter for Moses.
His Encounter was to deliver the children of Israel from bondage.
Phillipians 3:6, Acts 26:8
If you don’t have an Encounter, You operate on a zeal without knowledge.
A half baked encounter is very destructive
When you encounter God
1. You are different
2. Your plans can’t be thwarted
3. All you lost shall be restored
4. Your condition can’t remain the same
Experience takes You far but revelation takes You farther.
5. Your ministry can’t remain the same
6. You don’t behave anyhow l
Jeremiah 23:29 – when You hear from God and read his word, you receive a different rhema
Psalm 120:20, Psalm 119:8-11, John 15:3, 17:2-7, Romans 10:17
Studying His word takes away sickness and you receive sanctification.
You receive healing
Your faith is increased.

1 For your prosperity – Psalm 1:1-3
It provides focus, direction, revival
He comforts You in trouble
He gives you encouragement
You encounter God, and your life will make a meaning
