Lawmaking is the first line constitutional responsibility of every legislator. With regard to this core function, Distinguished Senator Ezenwa Onyewuchi has made a strong statement. In three years he has chalked up a total of sixteen bills and motions.
He has also carried out other critical interventions for his zone and country as a whole. He was the only Imo Senator and one of the three of South East extraction that voted for electronic transmission of election results. He stood down confirmation of NCC board because of exclusion of South East on the list of President Buhari nominees, until that deliberate error was rectified.
Senator Onyewuchi took up the fight to get justice for the family of Mbieri born, Germany based Oguchi Unachukwu murdered by a trigger happy Air-force Man at the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport. Not only has the murderer been sacked from service, he is presently facing prosecution.
Basically, the lawmaker satisfactorily performed his primary duty and without doubt deserving of another chance to do more!
