Owerri_ A mammoth crowd on Tuesday turned out at the Sam Mbakwe Cargo Airport, Owerri, the state capital to welcome PDP Senatorial Candidate for Imo West, Rt Hon Jones Onyereri, who is returning to the state for the first time after the supreme Court nullified the primary election that produced him as Candidate and standard bearer of the party for the Imo West senatorial election.
Onyereri was warmly received by critical stakeholders, party leaders, members of his campaign organization and supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state.
Motorists in the state capital had a hard time finding their way through the snarl traffic which enveloped the city as residents in sympathetic mood trooped out in their thousands to receive as well as welcome the candidate of the party for Imo West senatorial election back to the state.
The road leading to and from the Sam Mbakwe Cargo Airport was the busiest our reporter observed.
But it became even harder for Jones Onyereri’s motorcade and convoy making its way to the metropolis for a brief stop over before heading to his country home, Owerri-Nkwoji, Nkwere LGA where he is expected to address his supporters and party faithful.
